Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday June 26, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in White Earth with a time of lunch and fellowship to follow at the Ogema Community Center. David Ambrose Teiken was born December 7 , 1940 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota the son of Henry and Anna (Jasken) Teiken. He passed away June 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Ogema, Minnesota.

He grew up in Ogema, attending school at Country School #104 and White Earth Mission Elementary. David started farming with his family before moving to Washington in 1966. He worked in the timber industry for over 40 years before retiring back to Ogema.

David was a “Jack of All Trades” and enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He had a love for nature and caring for animals, especially horses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching game shows. His garage was always open to visitors and “Uncle Dave” loved visiting and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters: Tammy (Lee) Guderian, Jaqueline (Duane) Conley, Rhonda Zeller, Danielle (Brian) Charlson, Cassandra (Tony) Coughran; grandchildren: Fanchion, Adam, Alex, Taylor, Joseph, Sydney, David, Samantha, Garret, Eli, Britton, Ryan, Liz, Is, Jack; great-grandchildren: Logan, Emma, Thomas, June; siblings: Elaine ”Pon” Hoban, Marge (Boy Boy) McArthur, and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Anna Teiken; siblings: Irene, Doris, Bud, Hank, Leo, Leonard, Sam, Boots, Marie, Loraine.
