Wanda (Hintz) Hagen, 46, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St Mary’s Campus, Rochester, MN with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, October 25, 2019, at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN at 11am. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN from 5-7p.m. with a 6:00 prayer service. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service.
Wanda Renee Hintz was born on June 22, 1973, to LeRoy Sr. and Darlene (Mittleider) Hintz in Fargo, ND. She attended Fargo North High School, graduating with the class of 1992. After high school she attended Interstate Business College, graduating in 1994. Wanda worked for Sanford Health as the Coding Supervisor.
Wanda was united in marriage to Chad Hagen, on June 14, 1997 in Fargo, ND. The couple moved to the Detroit Lakes, MN area in 2001 and have a beautiful son, Noah, 16. She cherished every moment she had with Chad, Noah, family and friends. Wanda always had a smile on her face and touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She was a brave, courageous and fearless warrior who fought to the very end. She truly was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Wanda’s passing is mourned by her husband Chad; son Noah; parents, Darlene Simonson, LeRoy (Carol) Hintz Sr; mother and father in-law, Judy and Duane Hagen; siblings, LeRoy (Karen) Hintz Jr, Debbie Bergeron, Renee (Chad) Hintz, Kelsie (Shawn) Hintz; brother in-law, Troy Hagen; step-siblings, Michael (Susan) Simonson, Lori Simonson, Rita Simonson and Stephen (Tina) Mohs; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews.
Preceding Wanda in death are her step-father, Edwin Simonson; grandparents, Fred and Bertha Mittleider and Ernhold and Ruth Hintz.
