Vicky Borah

Vicky Lynn Borah, age 51, of Detroit Lakes Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Vicky Lynn (Reller) Borah was born June 28, 1968 in Detroit Lakes Minnesota, to Ernie and Beth Ann (Olson) Reller. Vicky was baptized at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes and she attended Detroit Lakes High School graduating with the class of 1986. She went on to culinary training at DL Vocational School and began working at Shooting Star Casino of Mahnomen, St. Mary’s Hospital and as a sales clerk at Menards. Vicky was united in marriage to her soulmate Darrin Borah on December 11, 1987 at the First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes.

Vicky had a tremendous sense of humor, loved the thrill of watching scary movies and greatly enjoyed pulling pranks of her family and friends. She was a big dog lover, especially her chihuahua sidekick, Handsome. Vicky had an outgoing personality and was very generous, always willing to help anyone who needed it. Her passion was for her family and making people laugh. Vicky’s sense of humor has given her family many memories to be forever cherished.

Vicky is survived by her husband of 31 years, Darrin; children: Josh (Amber) Borah of Dilworth; Justin (Oliva) Borah of Detroit Lakes; Dylan (Savannah) Borah of Detroit Lakes; grandchildren: Carter, Layla, Jagger Borah; mother: Beth Ann Tank of Brainerd; father: Ernie (Helen) Reller of Kelso, WA; siblings: Greg Reller of Mesa, AZ; Jesse Reller of Brainerd; Robby Sato of Engelwood, CO; mother-in-law: Yvonne Borah of Detroit Lakes; and her beloved dogs: Daisy, Dudley, Handsome.

Vicky is preceded in death by her father, Bob Sato; father-in-law, Verlin Borah; grandparents; dog, Lucy.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Monday, November 4, 2019 at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery. David-Donehower Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
