Terry Olson

February 3, 1946 — August 18, 2025

Terry Lloyd Olson was born to Lloyd and Elaine Olson in Rockford IL, on February 13, 1946.

He was baptized by his grandfather the Reverend George Field and confirmed at Second Congregational Church, in Rockford IL. He graduated from East Highschool of Rockford IL, then attended Moorhead State, MN where he received his BA in 1968.

Terry married Ingrid Rolfson on June 30, 1967. They went on to have 3 children.

Terry taught at Gulford High School. Following four years of teaching, Terry became a sales manager for three companies. He then became National Sales Manager for a large packaging corporation.

Terry was involved in supporting his communities where he was a member of, and served in his churches, community sports, in which his sons participated in, and several mens' groups.

In his years of retirement, he and Ingrid enjoyed their time at their homes in northern Minnesota and southern Arizona, where he said, “I have the best of both worlds.” They enjoyed the beautiful lake life and the peace of the majestic mountains.

Terry loved people and he and Ingrid enjoyed hosting and participating in many gatherings with their family and friends. Above all, Terry loved and adored being with his wife Ingrid of 57 years, his three children, Tim (Dana) Olson, Craig (Anne) Olson, Teresa (Mike) Cooper, and his six grandchildren, Nathan, Lily, Hannah, Oliver, Evan, and Benjamin.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Lake Grove Lutheran Church, Waubun, MN at 10:00am.
