Roy Kuehne

Roy Hugo Kuehne, age 63, Detroit Lakes, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home.  Roy was born December 28, 1954 to Marcus and Muriel (Braa) in Bertha, Minnesota.  He attended school in both Frazee and Detroit Lakes.  He served his country in the US Navy from 1971 to 1996.  After retiring from the Navy, he returned to Detroit Lakes. Roy was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.  He also enjoyed hunting.

He married Lisa Bone in 1984.  They later separated.  Survivors include two children, Christopher (Kayla) of  Mount Vernon, Washington and Jessica (Shawn Walker) Kuehne of  Puyallup, Washington;  six grandchildren, Jordan, Peyton, Brooke, Ashton, Briley and Ellsie.; stepmother, Mildred Kuehne of Detroit Lakes; four brothers and seven sisters, Dan (Diane),  Mike (Diane) all of Detroit Lakes, Randy (Virginia) of San Diego, CA and Keith of Vergas, MN;  Sandi (Curt) Hove of Fargo, ND,  Sharon Hanson of Detroit Lakes, Karen (Jim) Hanson of Lewistown, MT, Marcy (Larry) Anderson of Fergus Falls, Renee Shepherd of Eagan, MN, Jody Kuehne of Detroit Lakes and Lori (Randy) Borgen of Pelican Rapids, MN,  and numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Shari Roper.

Preceding him in death were his parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and two sisters, Gail and Christy.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
