Roma Carolyn Jacoby

October 13, 1932 — February 13, 2026

Roma Caroline Kee Jacoby was born October 13, 1932 to Fred and Jessie Kee in Loup City, NE.

She moved with her family to Austin MN when she was four. She attended school in Austin, graduating from high school in 1950. She then attended Austin Junior College and graduated from Macalester College, St. Paul in 1954. After a 3-month training course with the Minnesota Welfare Department she became employed by the Becker County Welfare Department. She married John C. Jacoby on August 12, 1956 and helped him raise his 2 daughters, Jennifer and Janine.

After both girls were school age, she worked part-time in the Becker County Treasurer’s Office. In 1989 she and John took over the ownership and management of K&M Books from her father, Fred Kee. They sold the business in 1995 and became fully retired. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Roma was a member of the Congregational UCC of Detroit Lakes, serving on several committees in her younger years.

She was preceded in death by John (March 3, 2016), her husband of 59 1/2 years, her daughter; Janine Vogt (January 31,2019), her parents; Fred and Jessie Kee. her brother; Arthur Kee and Jacoby brothers and sister in-laws.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Isackson, Son-in-Law Douglas G Isackson. Grandsons; Douglas J. Isackson (Liz Martinez), David (Renee Isackson), Cory Vogt, and John Vogt. Great Grand Children; David W. Isackson, Rufina Isackson, Alyssa Isackson, Kendal Isackson, Kelsey Miranda, Chantel Taylor (Clinton Taylor) and Taylor Vogt. Great-Great-Grandchildren; Savannah, Lauren and Aurora, and many nieces and nephews. And Sister-in-law Diane Kee
