Leroy was a family man with a heart of gold. He passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at the age of 76.
Leroy Vernon Fullerton was born January 26, 1950, to Vernon and Betty (Shockley) Fullerton in Willmar, Minnesota. He attended school in Olivia, Minnesota and graduated in 1968.
He married JoAnn Bauman on July 6, 1968. They were blessed with five children. Leroy and JoAnn were married for 44 years before JoAnn passed away in 2013.
Family was important to Leroy. He enjoyed playing softball, shooting pool, swimming, fishing and hunting with his kids and grandkids. Shooting pool was Leroy's life! He shot league for many years. There wasn't a time he didn't want to be in the basement shooting with anyone who would shoot with him.
Leroy's absence will be felt every day by his Children: Tammy (Darrell) Lundstrom, Terry (Daniela) Fullerton, Kelly (Todd) Kumpula), Jeremy Fullerton, Kristy (Ben) Borntrager; Grandchildren: Brittany Barnum, Dillon Kumpula, David Lundstrom, Hailey Fullerton, Amy Lundstrom, Ashley Fullerton, Brett Koppelman, Dalton Fullerton, Braden Koppelman, Jemma Fullerton, Ashlyn and Andrea Borntrager; Great Grandchildren:Declan and Easton Barnum; Sister: Bev (Roger) Swanson, Mother-in-Law: Marcella Bauman; Sister-in-laws: Pat Fullerton, Gloria (Roger) Livingood, Cathy (Kenny) Balderston; Brother-in-laws: Mike (Leslie) Bauman, Tim (Darcee) Bauman, Bill (Gloria) Bauman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; Granddaughter, Kayla Lundstrom; Brother Jim Fullerton; Parents Vernon and Betty Fullerton; Father-in-Law Eugene Bauman.
We'll treasure the memories we shared always.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held July 18, 2026, at Leroy's place. There will be a service at 1:00 P.M. with a burial. Please bring a dish for the pig roast potluck to follow.
