Kevin Louis Boit

Kevin Louis Boit (65) passed away on 01/19/2026 in Detroit Lakes, MN surrounded by loved ones.

Kevin was born February 7, 1960 in Moorhead, MN to Bernice Anderson and Louis Boit.

Kevin grew up and attended school in Rapid City, South Dakota, a place that became part of his life journey before he later made his home in Detroit Lakes, MN. In his earlier years, Kevin enjoyed watching rodeos, often competing in them. Stock car racing was also a big part of his family. Kevin left Rapid City, but his heart never did.

Kevin met his first wife, Gina, where they had two children. He made Detroit Lakes his home and worked maintaining trails throughout Detroit Lakes and worked in the bait industry.

In 2001, Kevin remarried his wife, Mary, where they began their journey as grandparents.

Kevin is survived by Mary Boit (Detroit Lakes), Don (Toni) Boit, Shawn Boit, Nicholas (Melissa) Boit, Scott Mackner, Terri (Heather) Mackner, and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Scott and Tom Boit, his cousin Ricky Mastin, and his stepson Joe Mackner.
