Karen Frances Disserud went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life Dennis, Sunday June 21, 2026 in Marble, MN.

May 5, 1949 Karen was born in Fargo ND to Earl Francis and Gladys Marie (Doyle) Kirkevold where she attended school.

June 15, 1968 she married Dennis Eugene Disserud in Fargo, and they moved onto the farm in Parshall, ND. They had two sons Krist & David, raising them on Toad Lake in Osage, MN.

She loved being a stay at home mom until the boys were older then, to name a few she sold real estate, was the owner of Disserud Trucking, Manager of KFC in Detroit Lakes, was a CNA in Duluth, MN, Owner of B & D International in Pengilly, MN, and a Pastor in the Grand Rapids MN area,

She loved the Lord and enjoyed telling you all about how much Jesus loved you.

She is survived by her son Krist (Amy) with grandsons Derek, Logan, & Jacob of Taconite, MN, and son David (Darla) with grandchildren Dennis of Detroit Lakes, MN, Emily, & Anicia of Moorhead, MN, and granddaughter through love Abby Bucholz of Hawley, MN. Siblings Rick (Mary) Kirkevold of Peoria AZ, Shelley Kohler of Hawley, MN, Lori (Bob) Arnson of Williston, ND, Brother in law Donny Olson of Osage, MN and Sister in law Connie (Mike) Annala of Chandler AZ.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Dennis, grandchild Taylor, parents, sister Janna Olson, in laws Barb (Art) Goyne, Aunt Geri Doyle, cousins Dee Dee Olson, Cheryl Ingebretsen, and other family members.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Detroit Lakes, MN

The service will be preformed by long time friend and sister in the Lord, Sue Colgrove
