Jennifer Tricia Kaatz, age 49, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2019, at her parents’ home in Audubon on the day that was to be her mother’s memorial service. Combined funeral services for Jennifer and her mother, Gayle, will be held November 12 at 1:00 pm with visitation from 10:00-1:00 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in rural Audubon.
Jennifer was born October 16, 1970, and grew up with her parents, Gary and Gayle (Eliassen) Kaatz, in rural Audubon. She graduated from Audubon High School in 1988. She continued her education and received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Minnesota Morris and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Minnesota. She was a dentist for Park Dental in Roseville, MN for 22 years.
Jennifer loved to spend time with her parents, her dog and her friends. She enjoyed fishing on Boyer Lake with her dad, reading, gardening, cooking and attending the theater with her friend Susie. Her weaknesses included buying purses, Swarovski crystal, Pandora jewelry, the color red, decorating for Christmas and sending funny greeting cards. She was a member of AMVETS Auxiliary and volunteered for Give Kids a Smile.
Jennifer was full of attitude and great kindness. Her beautiful soul and smile will be deeply missed by her dad, Gary Kaatz, aunts Vicki (Harold) Trimmer and Karen Eliassen, several cousins, numerous close friends, her staff and colleagues, and her dog Louis Vuitton.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother Gayle Kaatz and her grandparents, Clarissa and Raymond Kaatz and Mildred and Ival Eliassen.
