Isabel Eugenia Pederson

Isabel E. Pederson age 99 of Detroit Lakes, MN died September 18, 2025, at Essentia Health – Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes.

Isabel Eugenia Pederson was born December 21, 1925, in Madison, SD to Jennings and Nellie (Morrison) Borah. As a young girl, Isabel moved with her family to a farm near Ogema, MN. She attended school near her home and later attended high school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School. She then attended Detroit Lakes Business College, where she studied Bookkeeping. In 1945 she was united in marriage to Malvin Pederson. They farmed and raised their family on a farm near Ogema.

Isabel loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors, listening to the bird's sing. She served as a 4-H leader when the kids were young. She was also known to be a terrific baker.

She is survived by one son, Dale (Terrah) Pederson, of Ogema, MN; nine grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Peterson, of Eden Prairie, MN; one daughter in law, Kathryn Pederson; two sisters-in-law's Margaret Borah and Yvonne (Bonnie) Borah and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Malvin; one son, Dean Pederson; one grandson, Ross Pederson; one granddaughter Deanna Kaye Pederson; one sister, Gen Mastin; and four brothers, Jennings Borah Jr., Wesley Borah, Glen Borah, and Verlyn Borah.
