Eulyn Feist age 87 died April 06, 2022, at Oak Crossing Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Westfield, North Dakota.
Eulyn Mae Rodenburg was born April 21, 1934, on the family farm near Westfield, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Sidney and Plonieya (VanHeukelom) Rodenburg. She attended rural schools through 6th grade. The family moved to Strasburg, North Dakota where she continued her education, graduating from St. Benedicts in 1952. She attended Valley City State College with a secondary degree in education.
She taught school in Emmons County for two years. She married William F. Feist in Fargo, North Dakota on August 21, 1954. To this union four children were born: Elrene, Roger, Bryan, and William.
Eulyn worked as a bookkeeper for Robert Gibb and sons for twenty-five years and Pleasure Products-Ystebo Drywall (now River Bend Industries) for fourteen years retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed her family, her lake home of Pelican Lake, and winter in Arizona. Eulyn enjoyed playing Pinochle with her senior groups at the NP Depot and Senior Center, all kinds of needle work, and gardening. She was always upbeat with a quick wit and unique sayings, and very proud of her 100% Dutch Nationality.
Eulyn is survived by her children: Erlene (Mitch) Cossette of Lake Park; Roger Feist of Argusville, ND; Bryan (Theresa) Feist of Pelican Rapids; William (Stacy) Feist of Pelican Rapids; grandchildren: Adam Cossette, Heather Thompson (Brandon), Abigail Feist and Taylor Feist; special friend: Michael Holman.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Ronald (Thelma) Rodenburg of Hague, North Dakota; sister: Betty (Norman) VanderVorste of Ellendale, North Dakota.
