Eugene Alvin Morrison was born April 24, 1933, to Chester and Mabel Morrison in Ogema, Minnesota. He was the oldest of 4 children. Eugene graduated from Waubun High School in 1951. He married Opal Mae Mastin in 1951. They moved to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and raised 6 children. Opal passed away in 1992. Eugene married Teresa Trojanowski in 1994 and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Teresa passed away in 2021. Eugene recently resided at Essentia Health, Oak Crossing until his passing.
Eugene was a sheet metal worker, carpenter/house builder, farmer, motel manager, and later, world traveler.
He was a hardworking, loving father and grandfather. He was looked up to, a man of high character and good humor. He was liked by most and loved by many. He will be missed.
He is survived by siblings Charles (Barbara) and Larry (Ruth), children Douglas (Shirley), Darrell (Nancy), Daniel (Joan), Danell Haspel (Charles), Donovan (Deborah), and Darcy Nansen (Gary). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Vivian and her husband Glen Anderson.

A memorial is to be conducted on April 25th, 2026, at David-Donehower Funeral Home, with a time of visitation at 11am and formal services starting at 12 Noon. A time of food and fellowship will immediately follow.
