Earl Mergens

Earl Mergens, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 8, 2025, surrounded by his cherished family at Emmanuel Nursing Home. Earl's warmth and kindness touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes, MN, at 1 p.m. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, allowing all to gather and share in fellowship. A reception with family will follow, providing an opportunity to share stories, laughter, and the love that Earl spread throughout his life.

Though words cannot fully capture the essence of Earl’s spirit, this gathering will honor the beautiful memories and the legacy he leaves behind. His love will continue to resonate in our hearts forever. Full obituary to come.
