Donna Wahlstrom

Donna Kay Wahlstrom was born July 31, 1963 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota the daughter of Duane and Doris (Gitz) Wahlstrom. She passed was August 21, 2022 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School. Donna worked at Swifts before continuing her education at Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech.

On December 21, 1996 she was united in marriage to James DeGroat at Northern Lights Church in Detroit Lakes. To this union three children were born.

Donna worked at Lakeshirts and McDonalds in Detroit Lakes, and enjoyed baking and flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Abby.

She is survived by her children: Mark (Amber) DeGroat, Brian DeGroat, Heather DeGroat; grandchildren: Katrina, Rochelle, Riley, Aidden, Carter, Eli, Danika, Jordan, Mackenzie, and Zachary; sisters: DeAnna Wahlstrom, Doreen DuBay; and nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents: Duane and Doris Wahlstrom, and a brother: Douglas in infancy.
