Dolores Isabelle Spitzer

Dolores Spitzer, 92, died March 29, 2026, in Detroit Lakes, MN.

Dolores was born in Mandan, ND on August 27, 1933, to Karl and Anna (Froelich) Weinberger. She was educated in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School. After graduation from high school she was employed by the ND Game and Fish Department. Dolores married Myron James (Jim) Spitzer on August 21, 1954. They moved to Hebron, ND in 1961 and Dolores worked at the Brick City Drug for many years.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Irene Ricker. She is survived by her four daughters Colleen (Steve) Crowell, Gillette, WY, Karen Spitzer, Battle Lake, MN, Jim Ann (Donovan) Johnson, Ottertail, MN, and Kim (Kevin) Erickson, Frazee, MN., as well as 7 granddaughters, and 9 great-grandchildren.

A small memorial service and burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery on April 16th at 2 pm.
