Delbert S. Schultz, age 71, resident of rural Frazee, MN died Monday, April 21, at his home near Frazee. Funeral Services for Delbert will be at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN on Monday, April 28, at 4:00 pm.
Visitation will be at David-Donehower Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until the time of services on Monday.
Delbert Stanley Schultz was born in Wolf Lake Township on June 29, 1936 to Joseph and Mary (Ornie) Schultz. He entered the United States Air Force on November 30, 1953 and he was honorably discharged on April 9, 1955. On March 31, 1960 he married Darlene Raich near Wolf Lake. He worked as a miner in Hibbing, MN, Gary IN and Duluth MN before moving to Toad Lake Township (Crown Point) near Frazee in 1970. He started farming in 1970 and continued until the present. Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the casino. He also enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends; but most importantly spending time with his family.
Delbert will be remembered and missed by his four sons, Floyd and wife Cheryl of Osage, MN, Michael of Detroit Lakes, MN, Ronald and wife Vickie of Frazee and David of Mahnomen, MN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn and husband Charles Caye of Helena, MT; one brother Edmond Schultz of Sedona, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Darlene in 2005; two brothers, Alvin and Raymond; and one sister Darlene.
Visitation will be at David-Donehower Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until the time of services on Monday.
