Daniel Jager

Daniel L. Jager, 69, Detroit Lakes, MN, died suddenly on Friday, September 8, 2023 surrounded by friends, doing what he loved most.

Dan was born in Detroit Lakes on July 1, 1954, a son of the late Albert and Peggy (Ryan) Jager. He attended local schools. Dan worked for many years for Hauge's Landscaping and Works Metal. He was a welder and mechanic by trade and also drove truck. Dan loved working on vehicles, farming, woodworking and motorcycles. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids, and hosting an annual fundraiser for The Ronald McDonald house at Fall Down Field.

Dan is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his children: Stacey (Kevin) Blomseth, Barbara Jager and Jason Jager. He leaves his siblings: Carol Weston, Joanne (Dale) Mastin, Rose Clow and his uncle Chuck (Georgeen) Jager. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren: Samantha Sue, Austin, Lee Ann, Roderick, Cody, Cricket, Wyatt, Dakota, Tucker, Chance, Jasper and Jackson; and his great-grandchildren: Kai and Violet.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Patricia.

A graveside service for Dan will be on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 12:00 (Noon) at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rochert.
