Bonnie Atkins

Bonnie Schwarzrock- Atkins, 52, of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2019, of Cancer at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester.

Bonnie Kay Schwarzrock was born on July 22, 1966, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Edward and Donna (Quittschreiber) Schwarzrock.  She graduated from Frazee High School with the class of 1984.  Bonnie continued her education at the Detroit Lakes Technical College and Fergus Falls Community College graduating with a degree in Micro-Computing and Accounting in 1991.

On January 29, 2013, Bonnie was united in marriage to Craig Atkins in Watertown, SD.  The two resided in the Watertown, SD area.  Bonnie moved back to the Detroit Lakes area after Craig passed away in 2017.

Bonnie had many interests, she enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, painting, stained glass, drawing, crocheting, knitting and Belly Dancing.

Bonnie is survived by her children Cody (Libby) Harstad of Hillsboro, ND,  Jody (Mark) Long of Brentwood, UK,  Julianna ( Shaun) Carlson of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Nicholas Harstad of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandchildren Emily, Charlotte and Harry Long, Alyssa, Penelope and Dylan Carlson and Blake Harstad; mother Donna Schwarzrock of Evergreen, MN; Siblings Ken (Doreen) Schwarzrock of Vergas, MN, Deb (Dave) Dobsha of Detroit Lakes, MN, Kevin (Candy) Schwarzrock of Detroit Lakes, MN, Mary (Kris) Skrutvold of Las Vegas, NV, and Kelly(Karen) Schwarzrock of Evergreen, MN.

She is preceded in death by her father Edward Schwarzrock; and her husband Craig Atkins.
