Betty Blasczyk

Our Mother, Betty Mae Blasczyk (Johnson), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. She was 5 days short of her 95th birthday.

Mom had a special relationship with each of her children: William, John,

Deni, Daniel, David, and Judia. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved us, and we loved her. She joins our dad (Bud Blackey), her parents (Edward and Mary), her brother (Jim), her sisters (Dorothy and Polly), and her beloved friends in peaceful serenity. When you've lived as long as Mom, it is fair to say you've seen it all. Mom laughed and cried and lived all her married life in Minnesota. Mom was born in California--that was home to her and where she will be at peace. She was an amazing Mom, friend, cook, and business partner (Blackey's Bakery).  You never knew how hard she worked until you lived life on your own. Life's challenges were easier to navigate because she was there to listen. Mom, we will hold you close, and we thank you for the life you
