Anna White was born May 19, 1918 in Cass Lake, MN to Dan G. and Mary (Dunn) White. She was raised in the Leech Lake area. She married Reuben Rock on December 31, 1934. They made their home in White Earth where Reuben was the Priest at Breck Memorial Episcopal Church in Ponsford. Anna adopted Christianity and was baptized in the Episcopal Church at Pine Point. She was a member there until Reuben passed away where she later moved to Waubun. Anna was employed by the White Earth Band as a Community Health worker for many years. She enjoyed working with everyone and made friends from the contacts through her employment. She retired but missed work so much she came out of retirement and worked until she was 79 years old.

Anna enjoyed jingle dress dancing, attending pow wows and dancing whenever she could

She was a member of the Ojibwe singers. She provided support and courage to many families during times of grief.   She was a member of the White Earth elders and attended elders conferences.  Anna also enjoyed spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed her grand children and great grandchildren.  Anna enjoyed life and was game for anything!
