Alfred Fagerlie

Alfred E. Fagerlie, 91, Detroit Lakes, MN died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Graveside services for Alfred will be held Friday, April 7 at 3pm in Lake Eunice Evangelical Cemetery, rural Detroit Lakes. Visitation will take place Friday at David Donehower Funeral Home from 2PM-2:30PM. Alfred was born in Fargo, ND to Edward and Eline (Oien) Fagerlie. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, rural Audubon, MN. He served with the Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged May 10, 1946. On July 19, 1956 he was united in marriage to Frances Lorraine Gaetz. They divorced in 1960. On May 11, 1988 Alfred was united in marriage to Lucille Walker in Moorhead, MN. During his working career he was employed with American Crystal Sugar, The Fargo Foundry and BNSF Railroad. Alfred and Lucille lived in the lakes area since 1989. Lucille passed away in 2014. Alfred enjoyed reading his daily newspaper, watching the Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune and was a fan of the Minnesota Twins. Alfred is survived by his step-son: Frankie (Patricia) Walker of Moorhead, MN.
