Yvonne Hanson

March 14, 1937 — July 1, 2010

Yvonne Jeanette (Misbe) Hanson, 73, of Rochert, MN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 1, 2010. She was born March 14, 1937 in Little Falls, MN to Edward and Dorothy (LaForge) Misbe. She grew up in Little Falls and graduated high school in 1955. She was united in marriage to Merle Hanson on August 25, 1956 in Little Falls. They moved to Detroit Lakes in 1961 with their two daughters, Spring and Penny.


Yvonne was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1963, and shared her Bible based beliefs with others since that time. She was an avid gardener and loved working with her flowers and being outdoors. She was an involved Grandmother in the lives of her three granddaughters and recently she was overjoyed to welcome her two great granddaughters. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and her desire to see them happy.


Yvonne will be missed by her husband of 53 years, Merle; two daughters, Spring Fowler and her husband Curt, Penny Olsen and her husband Mark, both of Detroit Lakes; granddaughters April Kirsch and her husband Jason, Alison Kirsch and husband Justin, both of Detroit Lakes, Jadda Bush and husband Damian of Albuquerque, NM; two great granddaughters Kaylin and Brynn; two sisters, Jane Josephson of Innerlachen, FL, Dorinda Jarvis and husband Randy of Gordon, WI, two brothers, Sam Misbe and wife Eunice of Missoula, MT, Darrell Misbe and wife Joanne of Pierz, MN; and many nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Orean and Alma Hanson, infant twin brothers, brother-in-law Roger, and great nephew Caleb.
