Willard G. Keith, 76, Frazee, MN, formerly of Detroit Lakes, died Tuesday, October. 16 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 22 at the Becker County Day Activity Center in Detroit Lakes with Reverend Eric Lemmonholm, officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in rural Detroit Lakes.
Friends may call from 9:30 until the time of the service Monday at the D. A. C. in Detroit Lakes.
Willard Gene Keith was born February 16, 1931 in rural Detroit Lakes to Cora Keith. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes. He lived with his Aunt and Uncle, William and Grace Nugent until 1943; in Park Rapids, MN until 1948; in Faribault, MN until 1960; in Brainerd, MN until 1970 and Fergus Falls, MN until 1971, when he came to live with Millie Baker in Frazee where he had lived since. Willard had been active with the Becker County Day Activity Center for many years. He washed dishes at the Detroit Lakes Nutrition Center until retiring in 1996.
Willard is survived by his foster mother, Millie Baker of Frazee, MN; foster sisters, Becky Baker, Lacy Schmidt, Amber Kowalzek, all of Frazee, Samantha Schmidt and Linda Bunnis both of Detroit Lakes, Christine Schwartzbauer living in Tennessee and Julie Schwartzbauer living in Ohio.
