Richard G. "Rick" Goodman, 53, White Earth, MN, died Monday at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in White Earth, Fr. Walter Butor, O.M.I., officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, White Earth. Friends may call from 4:00 PM Thursday until 9:30 AM Friday at the White Earth Community Center. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM Thursday. Richard Gordon Goodman, known as Rick, was born October 25, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to Benjamin and Marceline (Belland) Goodman. He lived in Minneapolis where he was raised by his Aunt & Uncle Dorothy and Calvin Iceman. At the age of 14, he moved to Frazee, MN where he graduated from high school in 1974. In 1976, he moved to Red Lake, MN where he met Bonita Lawrence, his long time companion. They moved to White Earth, MN in 1986 and he has been a resident of the Frazee Care Center since 2008. Rick enjoyed time with his family and friends, leeching, fishing and a good cigarette. Survivors include his companion: Bonita Lawrence of White Earth; a son: Anthony Goodman of White Earth; step-sisters: Danielle Lawrence and Buffy Lawrence both of Detroit Lakes, MN; five grandchildren: Ash Lawrence, Treon Middletent, Lakisha Sperry, Kendal Lawrence and Noah Lawrence; brothers and sisters: Jan & Lou King of Demming NM, Caroline Goodman of White Earth, Willie & Charlene Heisler of Ogema, MN, Carrie & Vern Sargent of Redby, MN, Curtis & Lou Ann Iceman of Black Duck, MN, Claudia Sayers of Warroad, MN, Ed & Diane Levy of White Earth, MN, Florence Goodman of Ponsford, MN, Lorraine Goodman of Fargo, ND and Karen Goodman of Beaulieu, MN. He was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Goodman, his parents, brothers and sisters: Joey Goodman, Jim Goodman, Calvin Iceman Jr., Gordon Goodman, John Goodman, Bob Goodman, George Goodman, Corrine Jones and Shelley Goodman.
