Leslie C. Erickson, 59, Detroit Lakes, died Thursday, October 18 near his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 27 at Grace Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, Rev. Eric Lemmonholm, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.



Friends may call 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM Friday, October 26 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home. Visitation continues at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.



Leslie Conway Erickson was born December 12, 1947 at Waubun, MN to Carl and Inez (Miller) Erickson. He attended Bertha-Hewitt (MN) public schools. Leslie was united in marriage with Sherry Brasel November 19, 1966 in Hewitt, MN. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad 1966 to 2005, living most of that time near Detroit Lakes. Leslie enjoyed gardening, his camper, woodworking, going to Texas in the winter, raising flowers, teasing his family and being known as Mr. Fix-it.



Survivors include his sons, Kevin (Kathryn), Steve (Carie) and Greg (Jill Restad), all of Detroit Lakes; four grandchildren, Kendra Byers, Ashley Erickson, Kraig Erickson, Kennedy Erickson; his former wife, Sherry Erickson of Moorhead, MN; his Mother, Inez Erickson of Detroit Lakes; sister, Sonja Leitheiser of Detroit Lakes. He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Bradley and DeWayne; sister, Llewellen Jorgenson.
