Jeanette M. Otte, 81, of Frazee, MN died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Frazee Care Center. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 13 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Jeanette Meredith Heintz was born April 28, 1926 in Dickinson, ND to Robert and Lena Heintz. She was raised in Dunn Center, ND where she went to school, graduating in 1943. After graduation Jeanette went to Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND and worked for Crane-Johnson Plumbing; later working for the City of Fargo as a Secretary. She married Kenneth Otte, Sr. in Fargo in 1961. They resided in Fargo until 1965 when they moved to Detroit Lakes, MN. Jeanette worked part-time for the Detroit Lakes newspapers, retiring in the late 1970s.
Jeanette enjoyed reading and writing letters. She continued to do so until January and February of 2007.
Jeanette is survived by one daughter, Karen Weiler of Dilworth, MN and one son, Kenneth Otte, Jr. of Detroit Lakes. Her husband, Kenneth, Sr. preceded her in death.
