Gail A. Eidenschink, 61, Longville, MN, formerly of Detroit Lakes, died Monday, June 28 at Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Friday, July 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.


Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 6:30 PM and parish vigil at 7:00 PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.


Gail Ann Eidenschink was born October 20, 1948 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Edward and Doris (Brahmer) Waldon. She is a 1966 graduate of St. Cloud (MN) Tech High School. Following graduation, she attended Waldorf College in Forest City, IA. She returned to Detroit Lakes where she worked for the Thorwaldson Law Offices and, later, for Lakeland Mental Health. Gail was united in marriage to Mark Eidenschink December 2, 1977 in Detroit Lakes. She worked for Dennis Schurman Law Office and then for Patrick Kenney Law Office until retiring in 2007. They moved to Longville, MN in 2007, fulfilling a life long dream.


Gail had a zest for life and was always ready for a party. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her work and loved doing volunteer work. She is a past Regent of Catholic Daughters, was a member of Job’s Daughters, a lector at Holy Rosary Church and volunteered with Tossed and Found and the food shelf in Longville.


Survivors include her husband, Mark, of Longville, her birth son: Steven Christianson of Racine, WI, a daughter: Dr. Lisa (Richard) Brodersen of Seattle, WA and a son: Anthony Eidenschink of Valley City, ND, two grandchildren: Donovan & Mya Jo Eidenschink, two sisters: Nancy Johnson of Detroit Lakes and Pat (John Hall) Kropp of Sauk Rapids, MN.


She was preceded in death by her parents.
